I had the same understeering problem on my RX-7 long
time ago and I was thinking the same way to change to
narrower tires at front. However I was told that I
should have the tires as wide as possible, so I got
the adjustable front sway bar to overcome the problem.
So you probably wanna get an adjustable front sway bar
instead of down sizing the front tires.
