1997 BMW 328i is for sale. This is an uncommon 5-speed manual, sports
package equipped car, silver with grey leather, owned by us for 35,600
miles since new. Smooth, torquey 190 HP 6 cylinder, extremely reliable
with zero mechanical failures. Meticulously maintained with all synthetic
lubricants, this car has been a delightful street vehicle and excellent
autocross car.

This car won the SCCA-SFR Street Tire championship in 2001. It is a
well-balanced, fun car to drive, and is currently set up stock-class
rules. Eligible for DS and STS in 2002. With just a spring/sway bar set
this car will be highly competitive in STS.

Factory options: sports suspension, 16x7" wheels (maximum size for STS),
sports seats, on board computer, sunroof, Harmon Kardon sound system with
6-disk changer, alarm, cruise, power seats/windows/locks, split/folding
rear seat.

Additions:

Bilstein-Shocktek adjustable monotube gas shocks (external adjustment for
jounce/rebound with single adjuster). These shocks provide a range of
adjustments from "smoother than stock" to very firm/autocross range and can
be adjusted in minutes without removal of parts or jacking.

Michelin Pilot SX-MXX3 ultra-high performance 225/50-16 tires, 140 rated,
which provide superb lateral grip, excellent transient response, and put
down power well. About 1/2 worn (perfect autocross depth); the car is very
easy on tires and these have about 16 events on them. Full size spare 16x7
alloy wheel.

ITG performance air filter, front sway bar bushings, performance alignment,
and trailer hitch installed.

Asking price $23,000.
