Just drive Kumho's on the freeway, they don't wear.
The only problem is a magnetic attraction for nails,
glass etc. I drove hundreds of miles once on sticker
tires and the stickers were still there.
I ran the same "double" that you described with Jim
O'Chi and had a similar fate. My strongest memory of
that day was how much better a long, mostly dry,
course at Marina was than a short, wet course at 3COM.
