this is old, outdated advice that applied to street tires from some time ago
(70 or 80 sidewall series) that were typically underinflated and rolled over
easily on primitive or poorly designed/tuned suspensions.

on a good handling car like you have, more pressure in the rear is going to
cause oversteer, and at the pressures you mention, reduce traction (by a
lot).

cars vary on how they use their tires, but typically you want to use the
lowest pressure that allows the tire to keep its shape with a modern
performance or r-compound tire.
