You must be reading myths on the national list. Locally, we
are financially independent. Our annual membership fees go
to the national club and region. Solo2 event revenue offsets
Solo2 costs and contributes to the site fund. The only
thing "huge" that I know of is the gap between the fund
and what is needed.

The entire club is made up of volunteers. There are very
few paid employees.

Mostly busy talking during 6 out of 8 run groups.
And I guarantee you that Kevin can give you more training
in three minutes than you can absorb and put into practice
in three months. He also knows, of course, not to do that.
People don't typically come out of schools going remarkably
faster. They come out with a lot to think about and try to
put into practice over time.
