I think the GGF lot likes tires with lots of tread and/or soft tires, so that
the tread blocks have a better ability to sort of drape themselves over the
surface irregularities, and consequently have more contact with the ground.
The Boeing lot at Kent was known for favoring full tread Kumhos, and seems
like a very similar surface to me.
It would be interesting to know what the top 10 PAX people were on. I can
speak for #5 (2nd place in DSP in Don Lew's Supra), we were on Kumho V700s,
with a lot of tread (not sure exactly how many events on the tires... Don?)
