Hi, Don,

Yes, in order to go to Nationals a driver must enter either a Divisional
or National Tour event (or pay a waiver fee, I think).

It's a really fun event. It has a bit more organization than a Regional
event. For example, grids are laid out with a numbered slot for
each car, to which you return after each run. And every car runs
in the same order each time. Plus, each cone on the course is numbered
and if you hit one you are told which one (s) it was. And there are
all sorts of people from Oregon, Washington, Southern California, etc.
And of course, there are a bunch of expert drivers competing. There is a
really fun atmosphere associated with the event, too. And the party
Saturday night is a lot of fun (included in the fee!) Don't miss it!

The fee
covers TWO days worth of runs, so it's not much different than our
Regional fees. Plus, you get a trophy if you win the overall event in
your class. Plus, if you travel to another NorPac divisional, you could win
a Divisional trophy.

Thanks! That was a fun event!

Jerry
