another possibilty you might consider is the alameda sheriff's police
training facility in dublin. they rent the lot and were building a road race
style track.  they are comparatively lax on safety- no helmets, no fear :)
they have some nifty setups, a dynamic lane change exercise where you have
to decide split second which lane to choose based on car-triggered lights.

i organized a meet for my car club there and it was a lot of fun.  we got to
chase the CHP instructors in their patrol cars on the course... we ATE'EM
ALIVE.  hehehe
