At the NASA school I was wearing gore-tex pants and shell jacket, and
was very comfortable all day, rain or shine. I just bought gore-tex
gear this year when I got hooked on skiing, and am really happy with
it. None of the sweaty, clammy feeling I've run into with cheaper
  non-breathable raingear.

I also had a pair of gore-tex lined hiking boots that I put on whenever
I wasn't driving. This kept both my feet and my driving shoes nice
  and dry.

The downside of gore-tex is that it's expensive. I picked up my jacket
on sale a Any Mountain for $99, gore-text shells are typically
$200-300. But this is the time of year for clearance sales atthe ski
stores, so you might be able to find a decnt (for gore-tex) price.
My pants were also arounbd $100, at REI. The boots were also from REI,
  but I forget the price.

Whatever you do, don't wear cotton jeans without something over them.
Wet cotton will make you miserable. And they're saying it'll be colder
on Sunday too, so dress warmly.

Unless you're in B-Stock, in which case leave the raingear at home and
  come in jeans and a t-shirt. :)
