significance is that Randy Ruhlman began his driving career competing in
autocrosses for several years at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in
Pleasanton, CA, when he lived in Sunnyvale, CA. He moved into the Trans-Am
while a Sunnyvale resident.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--Ruhlman Motorsports, with veteran driver Randy
Ruhlman, will
campaign a new Oldsmobile Aurora for the full 2000 BFGoodrich Tires
Trans-Am
Series. The No. 49 Oldsmobile Aurora will carry Ruhlman Motorsports'
familiar
Preformed Line Products/Coyote Closure sponsorship.
Ruhlman, of Greensboro, N.C., will be the first driver to contest
the
BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series at the wheel of an Aurora. In 90 career
starts,
Ruhlman has 45 top-10 finishes, including four top-five efforts in 1999,
when he
finished sixth in the Drivers' Championship.
