Cars will go out of control sooner, so they will hit solid objects, spectators
and other vehicles at a lower speed and with less kinetic energy, reducing
damage.
But the real win comes from the loud squealing that the average street tire
emits under autocross conditions. The big bump in noise level will close
more sites, so fewer autocrosses, therefore fewer risks of damage and injury.
