No, because the SCCA can't force the tire companies to build anything
unless the tire companies WANT to build it. And if the point here (not
necessarily yours, but anyone's) is to portray this as a "wedge issue"
to push everyone in Stock class towards "true street tires", you're not
likely to change anyone's mind on that subject either, especially since
we don't yet know exactly what impact the new standard might have
on our sport. It could mean different tires, more expensive tires, or
maybe even different tire mfr participation, but if there is still a market
for R-tires then it's likely someone will build them.
