Uh, the "dirt track boys" that have claimer rules limit the claim to
very specific parts.  At Old Dominion Speedway (ODS), late model is
limited to Carburetors.

Only the top 5 competitors can claim, aka swap carbs + $200 to the
victim of the claim, from any of the other top 5 competitors.  Both
carbs must be determined to be legal before the claim is made.  The
victim also has the option of taking $700 and letting the claimer keep
his carb.

However, ODS pays out for winning.  Above and beyond sponsor payout.
If SCCA started paying out for winning beyond sponsor payout, then
maybe this might make sense.  For limited items, perhaps shocks would
make sense for solo2.

As it stands, SCCA doesn't pay out for winning.
