I was one of the poor smucks that had an extended warranty for my
vehicle through Warranty Gold.
I had 3 warranties, one for a '99 SS Camaro, a '98 Corvette convertible,
and my 2001 Z06. During
last year Warranty Gold filed Chapter 11 and basically nullified all my
warranties. They are still
in operation, but won't honor any warranties purchased before around
July 13th, 2003 (which is all
3 of mine). As far as I can tell there isn't any plans for refunds
either. I lost around $3900 on this.
My question is: Is it possible to write this off as a loss on my Taxes
somewhere? If so, where?
Any help would be appreciated.
