The August 2003 issue of Pylon is in the mail.
This month we--Dick Berger mostly and Pylon's staff--present our
predictions on who will win the 2003 National title in his or her
respective class. Dick is the sage of C Prepared and has competed in every
Solo II Nationals since it all began in 1973.

-Coverage of the Southeast Divisional at Nashville, TN.
-Announcement of the Aug. 30-31 finale for Mazda's
Rev-It-Up series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. Two SCCA
drivers--Mark Daddio and Erik Strelnieks --competed at multiple events to
qualify for the finale where everybody will again compate in the Mazda 6.
-CenDiv series' third round at Flint, MI.
-Cendiv's fifth round at Milwaukee, WI.
-SCCA's National Tour visits Bremerton, WA, and John
Haftner shows there's still life in the A Mod Tui Super Vee chassis by
setting Fast time.
-Matt Braun, A Stock BMW M3, wins the Super Challenge at
Wendover, UT.
-Las Vegas Region keeps hustling, stages an event --their
13th of 2003--at a casino in Henderson, NV. It's a Las Vegas suburb.
-In the Rev-It-Up series, Pat Salerno wins at Philadelphia
and Mark Daddio wins at Washington DC, (actually Landover, MD).
-Brandywine Motor Club operates at Glasgow, DE. Eric Carman
is FTD.
-Old Dominion Region is back in action at Pungo Field in
Virginia Beach, VA.
-Atlanta Region pulls 171 to Turner Field.
-San Francisco Region does two:
-Marina (CA) Airport. Vernon Head on F125 kart is
quickest.
-Golden Gate Fields in Albany, CA. Head is again
quickest.
-The Monterey Bay branch of National Auto Sport Assn.hosts
at Marina (CA) Aiprort, delivers a 60-second course.
