I still need about four writers to cover Thursday-Friday classes at
Nationals for SportsCar Magazine.
I have enough for Tuesday-Wednesday.
Ideal is someone competing on Tuesday-Wednesday who is staying to the end of
the week, but I'd welcome Thu-Fri drivers who would take on a writing
assignment also. Covering one class means covering the Open and the Ladies
of the same class. Story has to be sent back to me within a week of last
run.
Part of my problem this year is not just that people running the first two
days tend to leave sometime during the second two, but that they have stuck
18 classes (Open+Ladies as one class) on the last two days compared to 14
the first two. Takes more writers to cover them.
Don't need Shakespearean talent or Pulitzer-quality writing skills -- need
warm bodies who are there to see what happens and can report it. I can (and
do) fix the writing, but the on-site reporter is the huge value. You can do
the job sitting in the stands drinking a cold pop. :-) It counts as your
work assignment for the event.

5. Your class, days you run
6. What days you plan to arrive/leave Topeka
7. Any preferences for classes you'd like to cover (no guarantees!)
8. Give me a second-choice for a work assignment in case I can't use you.
