    I usually drive to Totoland from the South via I35.  The hills are
somewhat interesting and IIRC, you get to 1200 feet altitude before falling
down to Topeka at ~700 feet.
    In 2001, I co-drove another Miata so I drove a Mitsubishi Lancer rental
slug to Topeka from KC.  That poor car sure had problems with those hills.
