Chris,
Those forged Rays wheels are the right way to go if they are legal. But
the only way that it would be legal to run the 18x8F and 18x8R wheelset
combination on any other 350Z than one with a Track Package, would be if the
that wheelset was maybe also a official individual option offered by Nissan,
on whatever model (package) you actually purchased. Check your brochure.
You also could convert your car from one package, to another, but only if
the conversion is inclusive and complete. A few competitors have done this,
but remember, the proof that it is a complete and legal conversion falls on
the entrant.
One other possibility is that if you have purchased the Touring model
which came with 18x8s all around, it might be most economical to purchase the
18x8 Rays (Volks) for both front and rear. For this to be legal, of course
the offset of the Rays is also within the +/-.25" of those that came on the
car.

I am sending this to Howard and the SEB for clarification from them, but
thought I would throw this out to you guys as well for your input.

I am having a discussion with a few other fellow 350Z owners, and would
like your assistance. The argument is over what wheels the 350Z owners
can use on their cars. here's a background on the vehicles and the
five(5) different models/packages, this is the order they go in.

Here is a link to Nissan's 350Z specs page
  http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/ModelSpecifications/0,9439,23261||,00.
  html

350Z base, lightest of all 350s, comes with 17x7.5 front and 17x8 rear.
  6speed
350Z enthusiast, torsion LSD, cruise control, traction control, HID
headlights, same 17" wheels as the base
350Z performance, enthusiast package plus VSD stability control (instead
of traction control), 18x8's all the way around, tire pressure sensors.
350Z Touring 18x8's just like the performance.(17" wheels same as base
and enthusiast come with the automatic tranny), optional navigation,
  leather, bose sound system
350Z Track Ray's lightweight 18x8F and 18x8.5 rears, Brembo brakes, aero
package front spoiler and rear diffusers

The discussion is weather any other model other than the Track Model can
run the 18x8F 18x8.5R. To the best of my knowledge, only the track model
could run those wheels. The other grey area would be the touring model,
can it only run 18s if it's a 6speed and 17s if it's an automatic?

Thank you for addressing this issue, or pointing me to the correct
clarification source. I believe the rules are pretty well set, but a
note from the HQ staff would go a long way in clarifying this to others.
