The event hotels listed are very close to the event site (Turner Field)
in downtown Atlanta. That's why the rates are so high. If you are willing
to stay further out, perhaps 20 minutes away, you can get much better
rates and should have no problems finding a room. Metro Atlanta is about
4 million people and you'll find that restaurants and services are better
in the suburbs than in the center of town, anyway. You would be well
served to do a search on the internet taking the information, below into
account.
For those coming up from the South on I-75 consider looking at rooms in
Hapeville, Morrow, Stockbridge and McDonough.
For those coming in from the North on I-75 consider rooms in Marietta,
Woodstock or Kennesaw.
For those coming in from the North on I-85 consider looking for rooms in
Norcross, Lawrenceville, Duluth.
For those coming from the South on I-85 consider looking at rooms in
Hapeville, Riverdale, Union City.
For those coming from the West on I-20 consider looking at rooms in
Lithia Springs and Douglasville.
For those coming from the East on I-20 consider looking at rooms in S.
Dekalb, Conyers, Covington.
