I haven't head breakage problems, but on my Saturn I found that replacing
just the lug nuts fixed the problem. I think that the nuts are the weak link,
and repeated torquing was distorting them. I just replaced the whole set,
and many that the 14v cordless drill had problems taking off went back on
(new) with no problems.
