Well, first off you have to know who Bob Smith is, or shall I say, was. Bob
was a leading driver in Solo II and Pro Solo "back in the day". Quite the
character, Bob was known for his sense of humor and always-present (except
when driving) cigar. He left the autocross scene back in the early 90's.
At one point Bob campaigned an early Miata in Stock. In those days, if you
needed a custom sway bar made you could get Addco to special build it
through a racing contact at the company. Bob spec'd out a 7/8" bar with
three adjustment holes and they built it. Nowadays Addco no longer makes
custom stuff, but you can still get the early custom pieces since the
company's build data exists for that design. The part number even bears his
initials (BS11, I believe).
