No change from the present, Eric. We're already required to list two
events that we've worked as a SSS during the previous year when we renew
our license. (See: http://www.scca.org/amateur/SSS_App.pdf to review
the current form.) As I understand it, this form will still be used -
unless or until Wendy and her folks come up with a better way to do it!
My mind's a bit fuzzy on this. But, if I remember correctly, the SSC
wanted to go back to the logbook cards and even submitted an updated
version to the SEB. Because Safety is so vital to the continued success
of our sport, we wanted to make sure that anybody wanting to renew
his/her SSS license had, in fact, worked at least two events as a SSS
during the preceding year. However, the SEB decided to just put it in
the rulebook rather than print and issue the cards.
If I'm off-base here, somebody on the SEB can correct me. (And I'm SURE
they will!!!) But this is the way I remember it from our last
discussion many months ago.
