With the current rules there is a disadvantages for the smaller cars
(Miata, Lotus, MG, et...) My feeling is let the small cars go to a 8" rim, Be
it a 13 X 8 through 16 X 8. Maybe we would get more people moving up from
Street Prepared class who now have wider rims than the prepared cars. They
sure don't want to go out and buy new rim, when they have perfectly good one
now. The bigger, more powerful car (Tiger, Corvette) limited them to a 10"
wide rim and add 100 lb. Lets talk about Corvettes, moved from BP to AP the
get a 300lb. weight reduction under current rules. In 1999 the Tiger was
require to weight 2300 lb. now it minimum is 2000lb. and both of them still
get to rum 10" rims. Where is the logic in that ?
