I don't understand. Were you speeding? If they gave you a 30 day
suspension, I would guess that you were really flying or you've a stack of
other violations to your name... If you were speeding, you violated the
law. If you were caught for speeding, you were caught violating the
law. There are penalties for this. The judge cannot have given you a
penalty any stiffer than that allowed by law. It wouldn't surprise me to
find that the judge did not enjoy your attempt to fight what was, after
all, a legitimate ticket (You do imply that you were indeed
speeding). Welcome to a world in which we are responsible for our actions
(at least some of them).
Personally, I will not fight a ticket that I got deservedly. A
speeding
ticket is a natural consequence of speeding. If I can't afford to pay the
'speed tax,' I figure that I shouldn't be speeding. That said, you may be
able to find your way out of this, but if you insist on fighting it I
would, at the least, consult a lawyer with some experience in this
area. You've dug quite a hole for yourself.
