During the M3 in ESP debate on Team.Net in 2000, an M3 owner corrected my 
assertion that
M3's had an IRS by saying it had a multi-link rear suspension instead. Maybe 
it's just a
terminology or marketing thing but there are a bunch of websites (some with BMW
literature) calling it this.
