Rick,

Would you rather have the rule stated as proposed (gas not an adjustment,
two adjustments legal) or would you rather have it say "gas is an
adjustment, three adjustments are legal"?

The latter is a much more open rule. For example, triples with low and hi
speed compression, rebound, and non-adjustable gas suddenly become legal. Is
that a good thing or a bad one?

Of course, the rule could also say "gas is an adjustment, only double adjust
is legal".  But then, an awful lot of shocks that people are running would
suddenly be illegal.

With respect to the gas issue, the proposed rule keeps the status quo and
just clarifies an issue.  Looking at it too theoretically doesn't give the
bigger picture.  Kinda like trying to argue that "Stock" should be *stock*
and "Street Prepared" should be street legal.  :-)
