Bentley Motors on Tuesday said its new GT coupe, which will
arrive at U.S. dealerships in November 2003, will produce more
than 500 hp.
The vehicle, which does not have an official name, will be the
automaker's first to have all-wheel drive. It will be priced at
about $145,000.
The four-passenger vehicle, which will be powered by a six-liter,
turbocharged W-12 engine, is expected to go from 0 to 60 mph in
less than five seconds and have a top speed of more than 180 mph,
Bentley says.
Details on torque output were undisclosed.
Bentley will make the engine at its plant in Crewe, England,
where the rest of the vehicle also will be made.
