If someone could forward it to the wheel2wheel list, thanks.

Subject: Stolen 356B racecar.
I just received this note, and I would like to pass it on. The
title of the
note is self-explanatory, so if you have any information at all -
please
immediately contact the owner, Bill Hubart - who is listed below
or Rink
Reinking at reinking@u.arizona.edu
Thanks!

~~ Stolen 356B racecar ~~~
Owner is Bill Hubart of Tucson AZ 85718, telephone 520-297-8010,
cell phone
520-404-4488. Bill's 356 registry number is 7212. Please call
Bill
directly
if you have info.
The car and it's trailer were stolen from A-Atlas storage
facility, 1901 N.
Oracle Road, Tucson AZ between March 5 and April 5. A reward is
offered.

Here are a few details to help describe the car:
1963 B Coupe in Dark Blue color with White #62 on hood and
white/red/green
"La Carrera Panamerica panel" with w/black #62 on doors. Rear
license plate
is "356". Chassis VIN is 213801 with 912 engine (still looking
for S/N).
The engine has a big bore kit, Webers and MSD ignition. The car
is
equipped
with a custom roll cage and the current ('till Nov 2002) SCCA
number is
stamped into the metal of the roll cage (#002-438). The cage is
unique
because it connects to the front and rear suspension pick-up
points. It has
a
Fuel Safe "airfoil shaped" fuel cell. The car also has custom
modified 914
seats with build up sides. The wheels are 5-1/2 x 15 disk brake
wheels (car
came with disk installed). Engine cover and front hood both have
leather
hold-down straps. Wire screens cover headlights.
The trailer is a 1995 "Big Tex" FGTL (Flatbed style) with Arizona
license
G26656. The Trailer ID is 16VCX1627S1D62788. It was a tan color
with
patches of white primer and a wooden floor. The four white
wheels have a
spoke design.
I will post more info to the list as Bill attempts to recover
from the shock
of losing his car. I would prefer that you deal directly with
Bill on
this... but in an emergency, you can send me e-mail and I will
try to
contact
him.
