What sort of big screen are showing the closed-circuit images on? How
many cameras are you using? Have you tried putting one on a cable and
zipping it around? Do you have an Indianapolis-style scoring tower? How
do you make sure all the cars at the event have the telemetry gear
installed? How many volunteers does it take to brief each spectator on
the rules before the event starts?
What?
You mean people just show up and watch? With no high-tech, expensive
video presentation? With no live scoring and telemetry? Even without a
thorough and complete understanding of the rules?
They just sit still in one spot and watch? How is that possible?
We've been assured numerous times that all of these elements and
more are necessary to interest people in watching autocrossing, so I'm
afraid you must be mistaken.
It just isn't possible that people can find cars sliding around cones
in a parking lot entertaining. 'Fess up, how much have you been paying
these alleged 'spectators'?
