28th (Connecticut)The RS stuff is weighted funny. It doesn't give accurate 
readings in reference to a neighbor who is unhappy. Plus, we've done it years 
ago and had a driver lift as he passed the meter. Funny thing is that a Jeep 
loaded with audio stuff generated the highest reading.

  Or get a Radio Shack sound meter. Here the state fairgrounds require sound 
levels of 95dbA at 100 feet as an absolute max, and that's what we use, with a 
sound meter.

    My guess would be that it is somewhat subjective. If it "sounds loud" you
    may want to adjust accordingly. This being a first time event at the site,
    err on the side of quiet. Insert common sense.
