SoloII tire help?

I have recently started autocrossing my VW GTi in G-Stock.  Quickly, it became
apparent that it is not practical to chew up my street tires on the Solo runs.
Can anybody give me some advice on cheap but decent wheels and tires
(205/55/16)?  Thanks.
