The 2nd event of the 2001 Evolution Performance Driving School SEDiv
Championship Series will be hosted by the Atlanta and Middle-Georgia Regions
at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, GA on Aug. 24 - 26, 2001. The
divisional event will be part of a larger Georgia Motorfest Extravaganza at
the fairgrounds this weekend; car shows, stereo contests, aftermarket
vendors, etc. This is a series points event and pre-registration is required
by Aug. 11 to avoid a late fee. The event site is located on the
southeastern side of Interstate-75 Exit #135 and is very convenient to
hotels, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Hotel information is listed further
down in this message. Lunch will be served free to all competitors during
the event.
In addition to the divisional competition we will also be hosting the
inaugural Kumho/Evolution Team Challenge competition event; teams consisting
of (4) members each will PAX and combine their best divisional competition
times into a total team time with extensive cash payouts to the top winning
teams. Each team must have members with the following traits; (1) female,
(1) rookie, (1) non-Stock classification. A single team member may only
possess two of theses traits. Team members must pay an additional entry fee
and are eligible for a maximum of two separate team entries, but will receive
a free practice session on Friday from 9am -3pm as part of their team entry.
A Phase 1 Evolution Performance Driving School is also planned at the event
site on Friday, Aug. 24. It is highly recommended for anyone who is looking
to further improve their autocross driving skills. Please contact Ben
