 TO:  All my autocross lists. . . . . . .

 Forgive the interruption, but:

 For four years, 1981-1984, NorthWestern Ohio Region conducted
 an autocross on South Bass Island in Lake Erie in the streets of
 downtown Put-In-Bay.

 Known primarily as a huge weekend party with the World's Worst
 autocross courses, folks brought over formula cars, Prepared &
 Modified category cars and the rest  -  on the ferry, driving all from
 the ferry landing the 3 miles to the downtown event site.  No trailers
 taken on the ferry, you see.

 Feature social event was the Pub Crawl - 3 busloads of beyond-reason
 drivers and spectators visiting every bar and winery (7 total) on the
island
 in about 3 hours.  A real C/P type event:  Completely Potzed.

 Anyhow, this fall is a "reunion" for anyone that competed or spectated at
 any one of the events.  If you, or someone you know qualifies, please
 contact me!

 (Date is October 6-7, 2001.  No pylons, but the Pub Crawl lives!)

Aparently it was in an accident, and the insurance comp. totaled it. 
it appears to be mechanically sound.  there are pictures in the
