Well.....NOW it's official. NEDiv is pulling together to get this event on
the road to success. Here's the latest news (I have):
ONSITE CAMPING IS A REALITY!!
In all my years (not very many, but it sounds better) I can't recall Griffiss
ever allowing this, but thanks to Karl Hughes of Central NY Region, NEDiv
competitors will be allowed to camp on site, within the fenced area (where we
actually run). This will hopefully ease the burden of finding somewhere to
sleep for some of us. Here's some info provided to me:
"Good news, We will be allowed to camp on site. RV's okay, no hook ups
though. Tents okay, no fires though.
AND (a big and): we have to leave it cleaner than we find it, or forfeit the
$1000.00 deposit they demanded for camping
privileges."
I believe the "no fires" info means no campfires....I believe gas type grills
are okay (no charcoal), but don't take my word for it yet.
