I remember the first time I met him. He was standing next to his his SAAB
Sonett ice racer on Lake Pahlen in Saint Paul. I think it had a Porsche
engine in the front. Since wings are no longer legal in ice racing
hereabouts, he was experimenting with a full tunnel under the car. In a
warmer time, I helped work on the front end of his ASA car at BIR.
