Greetings and Whoomah!!
I am looking for some tires to put on the OEM 14 x 6 alloys for our Neon.
These will be for Summer useage only as we have Blizzaks for the snow. I am
not looking at "R" tires (I have enough of them) but tires to drive on to get
to events and run the occasional Street Tire class of treadware 140+. The
car is a Neon sedan with a full SSC ACR trunk kit on it.
What size is best? 205/60 or 195/55? The Yokohama AVS intermediate is avail
in 205/60. Bridgestone RE71 and Dunlop Sport 8000 can be found in 195/55. Is
tread width better or the lower profile for better gearing? I don't care
about errors generated for speedometer/odometer but maximum handling and
performance in a non-R tire.
Thoughts, suggestions, and expiriences are appreciated. Direct responses are
helpful as I am a digest reader.
