The Goodman Cup ice race in western Wisconsin was named in memory of Owen 
Goodman,
a member of the Northern Pines Corvettes club at Stout State College in 
Menomenie.
 Owen was driving his Spridget with the racing windscreen one dark night and
had a fatal encounter with a black angus bull which had escaped a nearby farm
and was wandering on the road.
