And you can get one with a 900MHZ transmitter/receiver pair dirt cheap from
www.x10.com. I got one with the intention of putting the camera up in the
Elan, and then having the camera safely tucked away someplace secure. Some
of their cameras have the transmitter built in some have it separate. You
would need to get a 12V to 9V adapter and run the RCA output into the
camcorder video on.
