In San Francisco, the Solo 2 group receives zero dollars from the dues.
By my past experience, most of the regional dues covers the publication
costs of the regional paper, the rest goes into operating the club
office, which does operate membership-related questions and problems,
and the road racing arm of the region.
So it behooves the solo 2 folks to demand (and supply info for) solo 2
space in their regional publication. Don't let it be solely a voice of
the road racers. It should be printing everything about the club.
SFR's solo 2 group operates entirely off of entry fees. The funds are
not co-mingled with SFR's funds at all, except in the book keeping
process. So we have to supply correct dollar amounts to the region so it
can account for everything.
