I love the Idea; I'll put $100 towards getting Sam into that car. Once and
for all if the car is a winner He should win.
Sam is national caliber; (I say National champion) level driver
He however might develop a rash from driving a car with H-tires on it :)
For the sake of science, I like it. Now just to police the rest of ESP from
sandbagging :)
And only one of two things can happen, Sam will win and we can all say,
"YOU'RE RIGHT!!!" or he will loose and
Well I think that would put this topic to bed once and for all. (That's
worth a benji right there)
All in good fun, and the name of science

Subject: Let's raffle Bob T's car!
I've got it! A fun and exciting way to settle this little ESP tiff.
Let's raffle Bob's car off! We set up a trust and sell say ~400 (have to
buy insurance too) tickets at $100 each and buy Bob's car in full
current ESP trim. The car will then be driven at the Solo-II national
championships by a driver to be voted for here on Team.net (do I hear a
Strano?). The driver can have the car for as many regional and local
events as they need next year to prepare providing they pay for tires
and basic maintenance.
Here's the catch: all 400 entrants have to agree to sign a petition to
the SEB _before_ the final demanding to move the car out of ESP if it
wins the championship again, or leave it in ESP if it doesn't. Rain or
other oddities during the ESP run which effect the championship can void
the petition as determined by an impartial board. Either way, after the
ESP finals, a winner is drawn from the 400 entries and takes the car
home!
I'll be the first to send in my $100 and sign the petition. I also
nominate myself to do the driving. ;-)
