My experience is that it's better to send a letter, or at least a printed 
copy of the email as a backup.  It's too easy to delete, ignore, or lose an 
email.  All my written stuff has been addressed and/or responded too, not so 
for numerous stand-alone emails sent to the SEB e-address.
