Computer problems(No autox content)

I have an E-Mail problem that I can't seem to get around. I get an
"illegal
operation" warning when I try to delete messages from my inbox. I tried
freeing up drive space, that didn't work? So I downloaded Netscape and
reinstalled it. No luck there either. Can someone help????
