Thank you for verifying there are two sets of minimum weights for the D and E
modified
production cars.
The minimum weight of 1000/1500 pounds is for D/E cars that have NOT had
their frame/sub-frame
and floorboards modified in excess of what is needed to install engine.
transmission, and exhaust.
There is also a minimum weight of 1000/1500 pounds plus 15% (1150/1725)
pounds for D/E cars
that HAVE had their frame/sub-frame and floorboards modified in excess of
what is needed to install
engine. transmission, and exhaust.
There is more work to be done in determining how much frame/sub-frame
floorboard must exist
before the 15% kicks in.
