My point (opinion) was that if they jumble the classes and your MR2 is no
longer competitive, you can either run "the wrong car for the class" or get
the "right " one. If they change the prepared/mod rules you can make more
changes to your existing car that will make it competitive.
Just like the O'Donnell's and Mulligan who have (rumored) $100,000 in their
cars, there are plenty of competitive people in stock like yourselves that
didn't spend a fortune. There are plenty of budget variations on either
side.
My kuhmos on my Neon lasted about 45 runs, not even all on concrete. That
was what I based my question on.
The most important thing to me is that I am having fun for spending the
amount of $$ I did.
