Sweep truck drivers for TNFS were Tamara McDaniel, Eric Heller, Tim Aro,
Brian Priebe, and Tom Berry. All of those folks were quick (what do we
have there? at least two current national champs and two runners
up?)--and good at avoiding human pyl...I mean course workers.
Because of the positioning of the corner stations, there was one time
when the sweep truck waited safely out of the way at station 5 for a car
to exit the course. It wasn't an EP car, though, because they ran TSFN.
The secret, though, was avoiding the "jumps" in the concrete. (If you
think the course section of the concrete is getting broken up, you should
drive the parts that haven't been patched!)
Brian especially scrunched when I botched the clipboard handoffs, "You're
costing us time, here!" The sheets were then posted right after timing
got the originals. I did notice TW that sometimes they weren't posted in
the right place, but I also was able to help someone Thursday who thought
the sheets weren't up when in fact they were--and even in the right
place.
