The weather was almost perfect today. 80 degs with a slight breeze.
Apparently the south course isn't quite as fast or HP oriented as some of us
originally thought. Some of the Neon's and 2000 Celica's hit 3rd gear, some
just banged the rev limiter for awhile. It is fairly easy to read, there
aren't many secrets, just hard brake zones to overcook. The times seem
compressed from top to bottom. The top 10 cars in CP and ES are all within
1 second as are the top 17 in GS. The north course is a little different
with times all over the place. It would appear to be the harder course to
read.
Worked impound and saw some protest paper flying. HS (Allen, Blume), DM
(Flier), FM (?). I left to walk tomorrows course before any results came
out.
http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/2000nationals/index.html has results.
