I'm so glad to hear this! I've only been autocrossing for about 6 months,
all of it on NT-450s and I'm getting fairly competitive in STS. I've been
street driving them for 14 months (60 mile round-trip to work), have 100
miles of Buttonwillow Open-Track time on them, and 7 solo2 events with as
many practice days. Strange that you had to pump them up so high because I
was doing some experimenting this last weekend and found that 38f 33r was a
really keen setup. I had previously been running 42f 36r. I have 205/50 on
16x7 wheels. I'll have to replace them before winter but that's mostly due
to two solo2 practice days on some really ugly "cheese grater" broken
asphalt. I recently checked them for runout and there was maybe 1mm of
radial runout and no sidewall anomalies at all. Drove to work on them
today.

The reason I'm glad to hear this is because I'm going to buy some AVS-I's
for dedicated track use :)

I will defend the 450's by saying that they wear forever (tw=300) and they
have *excellent* street manners, IMO. I'll probably buy them again for the
street where responsiveness and wear means more to me than absolute grip.

How'd you manage to wear the *rears* out so fast?
