LOL - there was no doubt that we would hear from John Whitling on
this one - it IS his favorite subject.

The fact is that  course speeds are proscribed in the rulebook -
just as is weight and wheelbase for F/M cars, or preparation allowances
in Stock, etc., etc., etc.

We are expected to overlook violations of the book in one area, and
stick to the letter of the rules in others?

Vehicles are distributed to classes based primarily on courses seen
at the National Championship event.  Mark was simply saying (I think)
that departures from this norm, (in either direction - my words)
disrupts
the existing classing balances.
