The return trip wasn't exactly without turns.  Here is a snapshot from
GEEZ of the right hand side.  Note the lateral G's plot.   I wouldn't
call pulling 1.2+ Lat G's "straight".  Sure it was flat out in an M3 (the
dip in the accel graph is the shift to 3rd.), but you had to set up for
it early.
