THE SPORTS CAR CLUB OF AMERICA NAMES STEVEN D. JOHNSON AS NEW CEO

Englewood CO; June 6, 2000 - The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), a 55,000
member

non-profit organization enjoying the most active membership participation in
motor sports

today, announced the appointment of Steven D. Johnson as its new Chief
Executive Officer.

Assisting the SCCA Board of Directors in its search was the firm of
Korn/Ferry International.

Mr. Johnson brings more than 15 years' experience in all facets of sales
management,

marketing, and cross-functional officer's duties with several Fortune 500
companies and

a major professional sports organization. Most recently, he served as Vice
President of

Sales for the National Hot Rod Association.

George Bovis, Chairman of the Board of SCCA, says, "The Board of Directors
is

committed to building an outstanding leadership and management team for the
SCCA.

Steve Johnson is the ideal addition to the SCCA. He will embrace, support,
and

serve as sponsor of the SCCA's core values. His keen sense of grassroots
marketing,

and his ability to form strategic partnerships will prove to be invaluable."

Says Mr. Johnson, "I am extremely excited and privileged to have the
opportunity to

lead the SCCA into the future. SCCA is an organization steeped in history,
tradition,

grassroots, and passion. I plan on entrenching myself with our members,
staff,

sponsors, and business partners. My goal is simple - to understand our
customers'

needs, goals, and expectations, and exceed them while creating win/win plans
and

strategies for all involved."

Johnson replaces Nicholas W. Craw, who has served the SCCA as President and
CEO for

over 17 years. Of Mr. Craw, KP Jones, the Chairman Elect of the SCCA Board
of

Directors, says, "It is impossible to overstate the value of Nick Craw's
service to the

SCCA. He is a senior statesman within the motor sports community, a
position which he

has willingly used to benefit SCCA over the years. Under his tutelage, the
Club has

more than doubled in size."
